About this journey

Spiti isn’t for people looking for a holiday.

It’s for people looking for a story.

Hidden deep in the Trans-Himalayas, Spiti Valley strips life down to its essentials—vast mountains, crystal-clear skies, ancient monasteries, tiny villages, and roads that test both your courage and your camera roll.

There are no skyscrapers here.

Only peaks that have stood taller than history itself.

You’ll drive across some of India’s highest mountain passes, sleep beneath skies crowded with stars, sip butter tea in centuries-old monasteries, and discover villages where life moves at its own timeless pace.

By the time you leave, you’ll understand why everyone says:

“You don’t simply visit Spiti… you carry it home with you.”

Why travel with Indian Banjara?

Spiti isn’t a place you rush through.

It’s a place you feel.

At Indian Banjara, we design Spiti journeys with the mountains in mind—not the clock. We know where to stop for the best chai with a view, which café serves the perfect bowl of thukpa after a long drive, when to visit Chandratal for the fewest crowds, and why the most unforgettable moments often happen between destinations.

Because Spiti doesn’t reward fast travellers.

It rewards curious ones.

Come for the mountains.

Leave with a quieter mind, a fuller heart, and enough stories to last a lifetime.
